However, a summer tour with Montana Shakespeare-in-the-Parks drew me west into Big Sky Country, Wyoming, Idaho, and Canada. At the end of the tour, I decided to continue my westward migration and wound up in Seattle, where I certified as an actor-combatant, became a company member of Book-It Repertory Theatre, and got my Equity card in WIT at Seattle Repertory Theatre.
While playing Claudio in MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING at Tacoma Actors' Guild, I realized that I wanted to hone my skills as a classical actor, and applied to the Shakespeare Theatre Company's rigorous Academy for Classical Acting in Washington, DC. I was accepted, studied intensively with Michael Kahn, and received my MFA in 2004.
I am now based in New York, happily embracing opportunities to get even more "greasepaint behind the ears."
